AFFILIATES & FACILITIES
Villa Charities Inc. (VCI) enriches lives through experiences and services that honour Italian culture and heritage. VCI, a registered charity established in 1971 as the Italian Canadian Benevolent Corporation, fulfills this mandate through diverse activities, programs and facilities, both directly and in conjunction with its affiliates and independent Italian organizations. Each of the organizations below is an integral part of the Villa Charities family with separate legal status and its own governance Board.
Affiliates of VCI include:
- Villa Charities Foundation, which raises funds in support of Villa Charities’ programs and services;
- The Columbus Centre, a social, recreational, cultural and athletic complex where a wide array of athletic, dance, visual arts and music programs is offered;
- Joseph D. Carrier Art Gallery, which features modern contemporary art in photography, painting, sculpture and design;
- Villa Colombo Homes for the Aged Inc. (Villa Colombo Toronto), a provider of culturally sensitive long-term care and community support services to seniors;
- Villa Colombo Seniors Centre (Vaughan) Inc. Di Poce Centre (Villa Colombo Vaughan): a provider of culturally sensitive long-term care for seniors in Kleinburg, Ont.; and
- Italian Canadian Benevolent Seniors Apartments Corporation/Casa Abruzzo Benevolent Corporation with apartments for independent seniors (Caboto Terrace, Casa Del Zotto and Casa Abruzzo).
