Mario Lanza, born Alfredo Arnold Cocozza, was an Italian-American performer who brought operatic singing to the big screen in the golden age of Hollywood. As an actor and singer, he recorded multiple chart-topping hits, and brushed shoulders with the most talented celebrities of his time. Sadly, he did not live to realize his full operatic potential, but nonetheless helped shape future generations of young singers.
